Spektrum Team Drivers win at the Chili Bowl Jr.
Dirt Oval fans across the country know that the place to be
in early January is Tulsa Oklahoma to cure their winter racing blues. Over
20,000 of them pack the Tulsa Expo center for 5 night of racing to watch some
of the best drivers in the world compete at the annual Chili Bowl Midget
Nationals.
The past 6 years R/C racers have also had Tulsa marked on
their calendars to participate in the Chili Bowl Jr dirt oval race held in the
adjacent Mustang Arena. Over 250 racers from around the country competed in
nitro and electric classes that were scale replicas of dirt Late Model,
Modified, and Sprint Cars.
Spektrum Team drivers had a very successful weekend taking
home four A-Main wins. Frank Deiny won the Nitro Sprint class,
Nathan Dean picked up two victories in electric B- Modified, and 2wd Late
Model classes, and Max Flurer was the dominant driver in 4wd Late Model
class. All three drivers were using Spektrum DX3R Pro radio systems and
SPMSS6070 servos.
Dylan Gerard wins 2 at the CRCRC Midwest Nitro Championships
Spektrum would like to congratulate team driver Dylan Gerard
for picking up two victories at the 2013 CRCRC Midwest Nitro Championships held
at the Ohio RC Factory in Jeffersonville, OH.
Dylan TQ’d the 1/8 Pro Buggy Class and lapped all but his
second place teammate Collin Weatherholt in route to the 45 minute A-Main win.
Dylan was also smooth and fast with his 8IGHT E 2.0 Electric Buggy. He TQ’d the
qualifying rounds and went on to win the first two mains of the Triple A-Main
