Champion Pilot and RC Plane Designer, Mike McConville's DX8 Impressions

I have to say that Spektrum has really raised the bar again with the new DX8. The feature list is huge. The addition of telemetry is, in my opinion, nothing short of extraordinary. The ability to monitor receiver battery voltage, while your flying and even program a voltage level that triggers an alarm, alerting you of an issue is worth its weight in gold. I believe this feature will save hundreds of thousands of dollars in airplanes that otherwise would have been lost due to low batteries. Add to that, the ability to monitor RPM, ignition voltage, engine temperature - this is revolutionary stuff! This is data that will up performance of my models, and even outright save them at times. It’s a whole new level of security.

On top of that, the new case is designed to fit comfortably in your hands, and the new gimbal design is probably one of the smoothest and most precise I’ve ever felt.
